The places you'll visit on this adventure
Known by locals as Mosi-oa-Tunya,
"The Smoke That Thunders", Victoria Falls is where the Zambezi River gathers its full power and hurls itself over a basalt cliff, roaring as it does so. Whilst the air shimmers with rainbows, your skin tingles with spray, and it feels as though the earth’s heart beats under your feet. Victoria Falls is a Unesco World Heritage site
Along the northern shoreline of the Zambezi River, Mana Pools unfolds in wide, sunlit floodplains and lush riverine forests. The river’s edge is alive with movement. Elephants wade, hippos wallow, and antelope thread through the shade of towering acacia albida trees. It is an invitation to slow down, observe, explore, and become part of the living landscape.
Further south, Chitake Springs reveals a more rugged, elemental side of Mana Pools. In an otherwise dry and austere landscape, a permanent spring seeps from the earth, drawing wildlife from far afield. It's a place that ernestly evokes the wild within. Elephants arrive in procession, predators gather at the edges, and the air carries a palpable sense of tension and anticipation.
